This time of year can be very pricey.
Christmas, of course, doesn’t have to be a black hole of spending, but that’s largely what it’s become.
And that’s only been made more extreme by the ever-growing prevalence of Black Friday several weeks before it.

With that in mind, it stands to reason that you might be looking to save some money in certain areas of your life.
Well, if gaming is one of those areas, I can help out by drawing your attention to four games you can enjoy totally for free on Steam, as brought to light by SteamGamesPC.
Let’s start with Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge.
If you like Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket, you may enjoy what’s on offer here as Warhammer 40,000: Warpforge is another free-to-play card game.

Set in the 41st millennium, Warpforge features all of the major Warhammer factions as players engage in brutal and fast-paced card-based skirmishes.
ICYMI: Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 is easily one of the year’s greatest games and is well worth checking out.
If first-person shooters are more your thing, Starveil: Armageddon may be more your thing.

Featuring Team Deathmatch, Free-for-all, Conquest, Gun Race, Destroy, Capture the Flag, Kill Confirmed, and Night Ops modes, there’s plenty to keep you busy.
Set in the year 2095, you’ll play as a member of the Vanguard battling against the tyrannical rule of a group known as R.E.A.P.E.R.
If it’s an eerie first-person horror that you’re after, then The Vanishing is one for you.
This one sees you travel to an abandoned town, shrouded in mystery.

You’ll sift your way through empty buildings, reading forgotten diaries as you attempt to uncover exactly what it is that happened after miners unearthed the body of a woman years ago.
I’m guessing you’ll have figured out that you won’t be totally alone in the town.
Finally, we have Aim Trainer Gauntlet which is, you guessed it, an aim trainer.
This one does ‘fight back’ though so it may be the perfect warm-up you need before heading into Call of Duty: Warzone or Fortnite.

As I said, all of the above games are totally free-to-play.
