Stardew Valley meets Studio Ghibli in beautiful new 2024 release

If you’ve ever thought “I love Stardew Valley, but wish it was a little more ‘anime’,” you won’t want to miss this new Steam game

If you’ve ever thought “I love Stardew Valley, but wish it was a little more ‘anime’,” you won’t want to miss this new Steam game.

That being said, Stardew Valley players have plenty to look forward to this year as well, as the game’s developer recently teased some new features set to join the game in the coming weeks..

We’ve played Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League! Check out our thoughts below

If you’re after something completely different though, allow me to draw your attention to Seikyu, an upcoming Steam game that you should definitely add to your wishlist.

Seikyu is, in its own words, a “fantasy farming adventure” where players are tasked with restoring the countryside to its former glory, whilst discovering its many secrets. There isn’t much more to it than that, it’s just a delightful and cosy little farming game and we’re completely here for it.

The game isn’t out at the time of writing, and unfortunately we can’t point you to a release date as one hasn’t been provided yet. However it is confirmed to launch sometime in 2024 so expect it to go live in the coming months.

If you’re into games with an anime aesthetic it’s definitely one to consider, as it gives off major Studio Ghibli vibes with its world design, characters, and lovely colour palette.

Wandering the open world looks like a lot of fun, especially when you look at all the points of interest and mysterious creatures found in the screenshots and gameplay footage. The lore is sure to be deep and mysterious for those who like that sort of thing, and if you’re looking for a more chilled-out gameplay experience you can surely stick to just farming and taking in the sights if you really want to.

Seikyu will release sometime later this year for Steam, so if you think it’ll be your cup of tea don’t hesitate to add it to your wishlist for updates on its launch date.
