Farming simulator fans won’t want to miss a Steam freebie for a stunning gardening game, it won’t be free forever though.
If you’re waiting for the next major Stardew Valley update like everyone else, you’ve still got a while to wait if the latest hints from the game’s developer are anything to go off. The new update is reportedly taking longer than expected, as it’s somehow become a bigger project than initially planned.

Fear not though, there are plenty of games to play in the meantime, many of which can be found on Steam like Garden Life, a delightful little gardening game that’s currently offering a freebie for its players to enjoy.

Garden Life gives players the freedom to grow, decorate and cultivate a garden with a variety of different plants and furnishings. There are no enemies, no time limits, and no prerequisites, you just go in, grow some flowers and have a cosy, wholesome experience.
If you already own the game or are looking for an excuse to pick it up you’ll be happy to hear Steam is currently offering some of the game’s DLC as a free download. You can now claim the Eco-friendly Decoration Set at no additional cost, but only for the next few days. The offer will expire on 29 February where it’ll return to its original price. It’s worth noting that you will need a copy of the full game to claim the freebie.
The set will grant you some cute fairy lights, tyre pots, eco-friendly lanterns, an eco-friendly table and chair, as well as a fairy house for the game’s magical creatures to stay in.
Garden Life is well-worth playing if you’re a Stardew Valley fan, even more so if you’re into farming simulators or simulators in general. It’s a cosy game you could easily sink several hours into, and the free DLC is the cherry on top.
