Red Dead Redemption meets Escape From Tarkov may sound like an odd combination but believe me when I say that’s exactly what A Twisted Path to Renown is.
Developed by Game-Labs, A Twisted Path to Renown is an extraction shooter set in a rootin’ tootin’ late 19th century USA.
“A Twisted Path To Renown is a community-driven MMO with a PvEvP extraction-based first-person shooter, immersive survival mechanics, and a highly detailed meta-game including mining, crafting, development, trade or building an industry, set in the unrelenting environment of 1899 America,” reads the description.

You’ll have to keep your wits about you given the sheer number of threats.
Of course, there are your fellow players to contend with but you’ll also have to fend off NPCs and wild animals.
This against the backdrop of the oftentimes barren and punishing American West.
It’s a good job the locale offers such delightful scenery to soften the blow.

As you perhaps might expect, those aforementioned NPCs will come from a range of groups including “the military, natives, ranchers, and bandits,” with the game’s description noting that you’ll want to tread carefully in their territories.
Take a look at A Twisted Path to Renown in action below.
We don’t have too long to wait until we can give this one a whirl. A Twisted Path to Renown launches in early access on 6 June and is available to wishlist now on Steam.

There’ll be a couple of different editions, with the standard version being joined by the Founder Edition and Premium Edition.
The Founder Edition includes a premium version of the game, an additional standard vault extension, a starter loot pack, ‘Founder’ status within the game, a ‘Founder’ role in the game’s Discord server, plus access to the Homestead Expansion Founders Bonus Pack (due out later 2024).
The Premium Edition similarly grants access to the base game, an additional standard vault extension, a starter loot pack, ‘Premium’ status within the game, plus access to the Homestead Expansion Premium Bonus Pack.
This could be one worth keeping an eye on.
