If you’re a fan of the Pokémon series then this upcoming RPG could be your cup of tea.
In this day and age, very few ideas are truly original but some ideas can be evolved into something that feels fresh, such as the likes of 2022 RPG Temtem or the more recent Palword, both of which draw comparison to Pokémon.
Check out the Temtem: Swarm trailer below!
In our review of Palworld, we said: “It’s a little rough around the edges in places, but the blueprint and starting product are more than enough to keep you going. With a dedicated community, Palworld can only get better. Is it a Pokemon beater? Probably not, but it deserves its place in the conversation.”

If you’re after some new Pokémon-inspired goodness (with a hint of Vampire Survivors), and if you’re a fan of Temtem, then you might want to check out this new spin-off title developed by Crema and GGTech Studios, Temtem: Swarm available to play now for free via Steam.
“Can you Survive the Swarm? Unlock mighty abilities and upgrades, find and collect Tems to evolve and become stronger, discover overpowered strategies, and battle massive bosses in this survivor-like bullet heaven,” reads the description of the game. “Play solo or online co-op with up to 3 players, building the wildest synergies.”
Temtem: Swarm currently has a release date of 13 November 2024 but it’s perhaps worth keeping in mind that delays are always likely.
In the meantime, you can at least play its early access demo. Unlike a traditional playable demo, other than giving you a taste of the game, early access also exists to provide valuable feedback to the developer to help shape the full version of the game come release.

Temtem: Swarm hasn’t been announced for consoles yet but if it follows the path of its 2022 predecessor, that release is always a possibility. We’ll keep you posted if we hear any news of Temtem: Swarm coming to consoles.
