Hogwarts Legacy players who didn’t purchase the deluxe edition of the game can now grab a huge discount on the bonus DLC, if they’re quick.
The Harry Potter RPG strutted out of 2023 as the best-selling game of the year, no doubt helped by its launch on just about every console imaginable, and making headlines with its association with J.K Rowling and her transphobic comments.
Take a look at Hogwarts Legacy below.
Association with bigots aside, Hogwarts Legacy is still a great game, and there was even more content to enjoy if you bought the deluxe edition which featured dark wizard skins and bonuses.

That being said, if you went for the base version instead and came to regret it later, you’re in luck as you can buy the DLC separately at a discounted price right now on Steam.
It usually costs around £20/$20 but with Steam’s Spring Sale in full swing you can bag it with a 50% discount, so it costs a tenner.
Included in the Dark Arts Pack is a Thestral Mount, which is to say a flying skeleton horse, a Dark Arts cosmetic set to make your wizard strike fear into their enemies with just their clothes, and a Dark Arts Arena, which unlocks the game’s arena mode early.
It’s the perfect option for players who are aiming to be a complete menace in the school of Witchcraft and Wizardry, though it’s still a shame you can’t cast Avada Kedavra on an unsuspecting Hufflepuff.

Perhaps Hogwarts Legacy 2 will give players more freedom over the school and its inhabitants, as while it hasn’t been officially confirmed by Warner Bros at the time of writing, the success of the first game makes it all but inevitable.
