Ghost of Tsushima is officially getting a sequel, Ghost of Yōkai, which is set to land next year.
Set 300 years after the events of the first game, Ghost of Yōkai will focus on a new ‘ghost’ known as Atsu.
It’s an unexpected change in direction but one that’s been welcomed by the fanbase.

Much of the game remains shrouded in mystery but the reveal trailer is stunning, and I can’t wait to see what Sucker Punch has been cooking up.
In the meantime, another game is set to launch in the coming months that could appeal to fans of Ghost of Tsushima - although you will have to switch over to your PC.
Nomadic Games’ Burning Sword: Death Sun is a Ghost of Tsushima-esque adventure, perhaps with a dashing of Assassin’s Creed thrown in there for good measure.
It’s a third-person story rich action game that dabbles in the hack n’ slash genre too.

ICYMI: Take a look at the brand new Ghost of Yōkai trailer below.
“Play as the great fighter, Zhāng Yì Xiàn, who seeks revenge for the death of his family at the hands of China's powerful Gāo Tiān Qí,” reads Burning Sword: Death Sun’s synopsis.
“Dive into a tale of revenge, redemption, martial arts, and intense swordplay.”

In order to exact your revenge, you’ll be tasked with duelling with some of the most acclaimed martial arts masters from across the region, steadily improving your skills - from physical strength to inner strength.
Created in Unreal Engine 5, the game boasts some very nice visuals - and uniquely, centres around the chinese genre of wuxia, stories characterised by a mix of romanticism and swordplay.
It’s set to launch in Q1 of 2025, which runs from January to the end of March, so it’s likely to land well before Ghost of Yōkai.
In the meantime though, you can download and play its free demo which is rapidly rising up Steam’s trending demos chart.
