The world of Fallout feels vastly different from Stardew Valley, and yet the way you play can change how similar or contrasting those two experiences can be. But what if you marry these worlds together in one game?
Then you get a fun Steam title that’s brimming with dystopian chaos, but finished off with the cutesy twist of being able to customise your way to survival. Described as a “city that reacts to you”, the choices you make will alter the course of its citizens forever.
Make sure to watch the reveal trailer for City 20!
You can choose to make life better for the people, or you can bring society further crashing down as you pit NPCs against one another – it truly is Stardew Valley with a Fallout twist.

The synopsis reads: “As one of the survivors inhabiting City 20 years after the accident, you must survive within this sandbox, using the environment and society to your advantage. You are completely free to choose how to play and what to do, but be aware: the world actively adapts and changes depending on your actions. It is up to you to work with or against the world,” perfectly setting the scene for you to become an evil overlord or a benevolent ruler.
This PC game is set to launch early access, meaning the content you play and see is subject to change as the devs see fit; a lot can alter before the final launch. However, it will be an ideal way to go hands-on with a game prior to its general release, and thus a solid option for those who want to take control over their NPC minions.
Reconnect with the earth like some post-apocalyptic Monty Don, or bring about the city’s destruction in a power hungry move that has people running scared – this Untold Games title is primed and ready for you to make those choices.
City 20 will launch later this year on Steam, with the official launch date yet to be determined.
