With Christmas fast approaching, you may want to cuddle up with a cosy game but if you like them with a bit of a challenge, you will love this brand-new survival strategy title.

Don’t get me wrong, nothing is more relaxing than games such as Stardew Valley but sometimes, you just need that little extra something and what would be better than mixing the most popular farming sim with Fallout perhaps?

Check out the trailer for Stardew Valley below!

Final Outpost: Definitive Edition is an upcoming survival strategy base-builder that is free to download and try out right now.

It is your job to lead the last survivors of the apocalypse by assigning jobs, crafting tools and managing resources.

By constructing buildings and levelling up your citizens, you will be able to fortify your town from the outside world’s zombie outbreak but how many days will your makeshift civilisation be able to survive?

In Final Outpost, you will get to choose from 10+ job roles for each of your citizens as you construct and build over 12 unique building types.

In order to keep your survivors happy, you will have to save up enough resources to create both resource workshops and homes.

However, with zombies lurking beyond the walls, you will also have to focus on defences and that could mean starting off with a measly knife to defend yourself before eventually levelling up to mowing down the undead with machine guns, crossbows and snipers.

When you are not killing zombies, you will have to put on your gardening gloves and get to work producing crops for you and your citizens. However, with severe droughts, cold winters and unforgiving thunderstorms to contend with, this is easier said than done.

By upgrading your citizens and your makeshift civilisation, your time with Final Outpost will go swimmingly… or at least you hope so.

Final Outpost: Definitive Edition has not yet received a full release date but is available as a free trial on Steam right now.
