Video games are pretty damn expensive and as much as I hate to be the bearer of bad news, things are only going to get worse from here.
Luckily, Steam understands this by regularly dropping hundreds of free releases that PC gamers can try out at any time.
So to celebrate this, I have put together a list of ten free games you can try right now and this selection has something for everyone.

First up is Dynasty Warriors: Origins, a hack-and-slash war-based game which is set to release fully on 17 January.
However, players can try it out right now courtesy of Steam and the demo gives access to the Battle of Sishui Gate.
Here you will experience your first battle as you take on large forces and powerful enemies on exhilarating battlegrounds.

This 4-player online co-op horror survival game where you and your friends take on the role of hired contractors tasked with exploring the Appalachian Mountains.
