Worlds collide to bring us a gorgeous new RPG adventure that’ll have players hooked from start to finish. For lovers of the Fallout series, as well as those who enjoy the tactical ingenuity of Baldur’s Gate 3, this experience is sure to keep you busy if there’s a void in your soul where another game once lived.
As entertaining as it is to try to work your way through all the glorious mods on offer, like the graphics overhaul that makes Fallout 4 feel like Fallout 5, sometimes we long for new experiences. It’s just in the blood of RPG fans, due to our call to adventure being so strong.
Feast your eyes on the official reveal trailer for Arco.
Steam’s Arco intends to help you answer that call, its “magic laced” tales enticing enough before we even begin to dive into its in-game features, aesthetic, and characters. Looks-wise, it's very reminiscent of Octopath Traveler 1 and 2, though its battle system and enemies is more indicative of what we’d see in Baldur’s Gate 3.

You need to use your tactical know-how to defeat all who stand in your way, recruiting companions along your journey, each with their own unique attributes and input. As someone who thoroughly enjoyed Fallout 4’s companion selection, I relish any game that hints at delivering equally intriguing characters.
In this PC title, your choices will decide the fates your characters experience, so tread carefully when making decisions, lest you live to regret them… Still, those choices won’t be made just yet, as the game isn’t out until later this year.
The developer’s haven’t specified a date on the game’s Steam page just yet, but we’re hopeful it’ll be sooner rather than later. This at least gives you enough time to wishlist the title, as well as investigate what its demo has to offer. Unfortunately for Mac users, though, the game isn’t compatible with macOS 10.15 Catalina or above, meaning you’ll need a Microsoft emulator or a spare PC just waiting to be turned back on.
Make sure to try the free Arco demo for yourselves over on Steam, and to keep your eyes peeled for its official release date.
