Starfield’s PC specs have been revealed, including the high-performance ones you’ll want to use to get the full intergalactic experience.

Bethesda’s first new IP in years, Starfield, will be released in just a few weeks, exclusively for Xbox Series X/S and PC, a decision that some PlayStation fans have been trying to change with a petition that's expectedly gone nowhere.

Take a look at the Starfield Story Trailer below!

While Xbox players will have their version limited, such as the 30 FPS lock to ensure graphical fidelity, PC players will have more freedom in their game’s performance, and were recently informed of the specs needed to truly unlock the potential of the open-space exploration game.

AMD has broken down Starfield’s PC performance into three categories, Heroic/1080p, Epic/1440p, and Legendary/4K, as well as informing players which shiny, new CPU they’ll need to unlock those graphical settings:

1080p - AMD Ryzen™ 5 7600 CPU, AMD Radeon™ RX 7600 GPU

1440p - AMD Ryzen™ 7 7700X CPU, AMD Radeon™ RX 6800 Series GPU

4K - AMD Ryzen™ 7 7800X3D CPU, AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 XT GPU

Coincidentally, Starfield will be available in upcoming AMD CPU bundles as a free download, so if you’re a PC player wanting to experience the game in the best way possible, or if you’re just in the market for a new CPU, that offer might be of interest to you.

That being said these specs shouldn’t be considered to be definitive, as the Steam product page for Starfield, lists completely different ones that will likely be more manageable, and affordable, for interested players.

Starfield promises to be Bethesda’s biggest game ever, with each of its 1,000 planets reportedly having bigger maps than Skyrim, which you’ll be able to explore in your shiny new spaceship you’ve built from scratch. While the main story is shorter than you’d expect, the main draw of the game will definitely be seeing everything the galaxy has to offer, and thousands of players simply can’t wait to get stuck in, some of which are planning to take the week off work just for some extra time with the game.

The game will launch on 6th September, and can currently be pre-installed on PCs and consoles.
