Xbox banger you shouldn't miss quietly announced for PS5

Xbox banger you shouldn't miss quietly announced for PS5

This 2024 Xbox console exclusive drops on PS5 next month

One of 2024’s best Xbox console-exclusive titles is about to land on PlayStation 5 next month, according to its developers.

Thank you in advance to Push Square’s Liam Croft for the original source!

Microbird Games has just announced that their 2024 hit Dungeons of Hinterberg is coming to PlayStation 5 on 13 March, marking the end to the console exclusivity of yet another Xbox Series X/S title.

Even though Dungeons of Hinterberg was the first title that Microbird Games released, it still garnered a lot of praise back in 2024 when it was released on day one on Xbox Game Pass.

The PC version of the title is currently sitting at a very respectable 80/100 on Metacritic, and the Steam version has earned itself a “Very Positive” rating with over 1,300 reviews (94% of which are positive).

If you’ve already completed the game once before and were hoping for some new content to accompany this announcement, then I have good news.

Take a look at Dungeons of Hinterberg in action below.

Microbird Games has revealed that the new update for Dungeons of Hinterberg that’s launching alongside the PlayStation 5 release of the game includes a “new, secret bonus episode”.

I’ve not actually had a chance to get around to this one yet myself, but not due to disinterest.

It's been on my radar ever since I read Christian Donlan's review of Dungeons of Hinterberg last year, because he made it sound like a charming mix between a puzzle game and a Persona-esque, social-maxing adventure, which sounds right up my street.

Unfortunately, I’ve just not had a chance to give it a go yet, because thousands of incredible games decided to release in 2024, but I promise I’m gonna put down Balatro for 10 seconds and try this one out in 2025.

Here’s hoping this one gets a second chance to impress when it drops on PS5 next month.
