Uncharted Unreal Engine 5 remake is a thing of pure beauty

Uncharted Unreal Engine 5 remake is a thing of pure beauty

Uncharted hasn't looked this beautiful in years

You know how people joke that gamers need to go outside and touch some grass? Well, odds are, nothing in nature will prove as beautiful as this Uncharted remake.

The Uncharted series is beloved by many, and even those who've never played this popular Sony series still know how much of an impact it's had on the games community. Consequently, any chance we get to see Drake return to us with some heavily updated and contemporary graphics, we're going to immediately grab hold.

Drake is back in this stunning Uncharted remake; make sure you check it out

What makes this remake so exciting is how it captures the "essence" of the classic outtings we best know this loveable adventurer for – it's something fans who've already seen the remake have commented on. "Not only was this incredibly well made, you did such a great job of capturing the essence of Uncharted! (U4 in particular). I'm thoroughly impressed!" The same fan added, "Hoping to see more game recreations like this in the future even if I'm sure they'll take a long time to make!"

Even those who aren't fully sold on some of the Unreal Engine 5 animations, still have to concede that this is the Uncharted "continuation" that was needed. "I got very impressed with this, even if the gameplay or the animations are a bit clumsy, this encapsulates so much of the Uncharted essence that it feels like an extra chapter to have a bit more of a closure," said one gamer.

Arguably one of the reasons this recreation is so impressive is due to the fact that it's been created by an ex-Ubisoft employee and a current MachineGames dev. With credentials like that, it's hardly surprising that such an awe-inspiring remake was pieced together.

Sadly, although the video is rather generous in length, it isn't a showcase of an upcoming game, but rather a means of highlighting what's possible if Naughty Dog took it upon itself to remake the original titles. But maybe one day that'll change... one day...
