I sensed one would be in there and now it has finally been spotted.
Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is hiding a The Last of Us Easter egg, alongside other sneaky nods.
In the lead up to this year’s The Game Awards, whispers did the rounds claiming that Naughty Dog would be unveiling a new IP.

I’ll admit, I was nervous - and it’s not because I doubted Naughty Dog.
As I recently detailed in my trailer deep dive, I yearn for The Last of Us Part III - the important context here being that The Last of Us Part II is my favourite game of all-time.
Would I care about a new IP when that particular story had been left so open?
I was, dearest reader, stupid to hold such a concern as the premise of Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet already has me hooked (although my desire to reunite with Ellie and Abby further down the line hasn’t faded).

In case you missed it, I urge you to revisit my trailer deep dive where I pinpoint several reasons why we should be excited about this new release.
But today, it’s the topic of Easter eggs that I want to address as several have been found hidden within the cinematic trailer.
Take a look at the trailer yourself below.
As reported by ComicBook, eagle-eyed fans have spotted a nice nod to The Last of Us and it’s at the point in the trailer when Jordan is picking a CD to play.

One of the options is for ‘Savage Starlight’, a nod to the in-game universe comic book adored by The Last of Us’ Ellie which also happens to be set in space.
There’s also a reference to Uncharted as Jordan can be seen drinking from a Macho Nacho cup during her video call with AJ, a restaurant that exists within Uncharted’s universe.
It’s been pointed out that Jordan’s stance in the game’s current poster, with her sword over her shoulder, mimics the pose modelled by Nathan Drake in the poster for Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune too.
Finally, there’s a nod to Naughty Dog itself which began life as JAM Software.

Jordan A. Mun … Do you see those initials? Yes, JAM.
The trailer is also hiding a QR code which can be found on Jordan’s pinboard, with those who have successfully scanned it either getting one of two numbers: 66260600410 or 66260700410.
As to what this means, well, no one really knows as it’s yet to be deciphered.
Some have theorised that it might hint at the game’s release window. With Naughty Dog’s attention to detail, it’ll certainly mean something.

Given that they packed all of this into a short trailer, I cannot wait to see what the full game release has in store.
