The Last Of Us 2: Remastered has been accidentally confirmed by a LinkedIn profile update.
The remaster has been rumoured to exist for a while, after all, the first game got the PlayStation 5 treatment with The Last Of Us: Part One so it’d only be natural for the sequel to follow suit.

Now, that remaster has seemingly been confirmed thanks to one of the Naughty Dog developers accidentally letting it slip on their LinkedIn profile.

Naughty Dog’s Lead Outsource Artist recently updated the experience section of their profile. In what appears to be an accident, they added “Responsible for overseeing the production of all outsourced environment art assets, weapons, and interactive props for two iconic titles The Last Of Us: Part One and The Last Of Us 2: Remastered.”
The profile has since been changed, but some eagle-eyed fans managed to quickly grab a screenshot before it disappeared.
It was then shared on Twitter by @DomTheBombYT, who said: “The Last of Us 2 Remaster appears to be Naughty Dog's next game!”
Unfortunately, the news wasn’t so well received by fans. It’s no secret The Last Of Us Part 2 was quite the controversial release when it launched on PlayStation 4 in 2020, largely due to some of its early story developments and what they meant for the rest of the game.

Fans also believe Naughty Dog might be focusing too much on The Last Of Us as a series, and aren’t thrilled at the idea of yet another re-release/remaster, even if it adds some of the bells and whistles featured in PlayStation 5 games.
“Man, Sony is destroying ND. Part II remastered shouldn't be a priority, it's gonna bring another wave of negativity to Naughty Dog.”
“What a joke! At this point this franchise has more remasters than it has actual entries and idk if that's sad or hilarious.”
“The Last of us 2 remastered on PC maybe?”
