While the PlayStation Plus library is increasingly vast at the moment, clocking in at 469 downloads and counting, one title, in particular, is catching everyone’s eye, Sea Of Stars, a charming RPG that’s set to release on the subscription service from day one.
If you’ve been following the game, you’ll know a demo went live on the PlayStation Store with the aim of giving you a taste of what to expect from the groundbreaking release. Sea Of Stars brings back the classic RPG style from the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System, but with several modern flourishes that make it easily accessible to a modern audience.
While the full release will be available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo and PC platforms, PlayStation Plus subscribers will be able to play it on launch day at no additional cost, which they’re very excited about.
A Reddit post by jerander85 drew attention to the game’s release on the service, much to the joy of fans.

“Oh hell yea. Now I get to play this for free? I'll still probably pick it up on Switch for portability. Good news!”
“Goddamn, I backed for the physical copy on Switch and now it's gonna be free to play on Xbox and PS5 for me. I dunno if I'll be able to wait for my copy to show up lol”
“I want to pre-order now”
Sea Of Stars will release later this month on the 29th of August.
