There is no denying that The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is pretty massive when it comes to open-world games.
Maybe it just feels bigger when we are forcing our mounts up vertical mountains or in the beginning hours of the game when fast travel is a distant dream.

That being said, one PlayStation Plus free open-world RPG is an incredible 2.5x bigger than The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim.
It is none other than Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla which has a map that totals 38km2 as opposed to Skyrim’s 15km2.
Pretty shocking if you think about it.
Either way, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is the twelfth major instalment in the Assassin’s Creed series and was released back in 2020.

Set during 872-878 AD, the game follows Viking/Assassin Eivor as they attempt to establish a new Viking clan in England.
However, in typical Assassin’s Creed fashion, it isn’t long before they find themselves embroiled in a war between the Assassins and the Templar Order.
Rewarded with generally positive reviews, Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was a relatively strong entry in the Ubisoft series and now you have a chance to play it for absolutely free.
Added to the PlayStation Plus library, Valhalla is now available and thanks to its extraordinarily big map, there is plenty to do.

With the game taking place during the Viking’s expansion into the British Isles, it is perhaps no surprise that the world is on such a large scale.
With side quests, points of interest and main quests to explore, this is a title you will rack up the hours in.
Not only that but with Assassin’s Creed Shadows not expected to arrive until February, as opposed to the original plan of November, this will be the perfect way to get your Assassin fix without the wait.
