Gather around PlayStation Plus subscribers. Another batch of games is due to leave the service next month so if you’re an extra or premium tier subscriber, you’re going to want to see if any of these titles are worth checking out before it’s too late.
Before we dive in, allow me to recap what’s been going on in the world of PlayStation Plus. This month, all subscribers can grab the essential tier offerings PGA Tour 2K23, Dreams, and Death’s Door. The extra and premium tiers are receiving a collective 17 free games this month including day one release Moving Out 2, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, Lost Judgement, and Midnight Fight Express. Moving Out 2 has been released to rave reviews, and let’s not forget that we’ll also gain Sea of Stars as a day one release on 29 August. That’s a game I’m keen to get my hands on. It’s all well and good finding out what’s new, but let’s dive into what will soon be departing PS Plus.
Take a look at Sea of Stars in action below.
Every month, a new batch of games gets added to the dreaded ‘Last chance to play’ category - and today, it’s been confirmed which titles will be leaving in September when the next batch of extra and premium games are added. You have just one month to play: Deathloop, Chicory: A Colorful Tale, Tom Clancy’s Ghost Recon Wildlands, Watch Dogs, Watch Dogs 2, Nidhogg 2, Through The Darkest of Times, and Death End Request 2.

I’ve been meaning to get around to playing Chicory for a good long while, so I guess I better hop on that ASAP. Deathloop and Watch Dogs are well worth checking out before they depart too.
If you hover over one of the departing games, it’s revealed that this line-up will be leaving PlayStation Plus for good on 19 September. You have your final countdown so get playing! I’m downloading Chicory this very minute.
