PlayStation Plus Essential games aren’t the only thing that dropped yesterday, because Sony has decided to treat players to an extra little freebie this month (at no extra cost).
Yesterday, this month’s PlayStation Plus Essential Monthly Games finally became available worldwide, but August’s offerings also marked a very special landmark in Sony’s history.
That’s because, as revealed on the PlayStation Blog last week, Sony is currently celebrating the 15th anniversary of PlayStation Plus.
Technically, they actually started celebrating it last month but, hey, they’re giving us free stuff, so don’t think about it too hard.

Unfortunately, you've already missed all of the stuff they offered last month, including a hefty discount on Sony Pictures Core, a free weekend of PlayStation Plus, and a free pack for Valorant, but you are just in time for this month’s free stuff!
This month, players are being offered five free PSN avatars, based on games including Cyberpunk 2077, Hogwarts Legacy, Diablo IV, God of War Ragnarök, and Twisted Metal.
To claim them the easy way, I highly suggest heading over to Wario64’s Twitter post and scanning the QR code on your phone.
However, if you’re not in America, that QR code won’t actually work for you… so it’s a good job that they also published the codes online.

Here’s the list!
Americas: JGE9-RHJ3-3DLC
Europe/Australia: PEDN-MARA-T2M9
Asia: HRK4-G9LC-LHLC

Japan: 4E9K-GTKL-5476
Based on the little note at the end of the official image included in Wario64’s post, it doesn’t seem like you have too long to claim these.
It would seem that they run out on October 9 this year (I'm assuming that the date is in the American format), which would mean you only have just over a month to grab these before they assumedly dissapear forever.
Keep an eye on the PlayStation Blog for any further announcements this month too, because I’m not entirely convinced that this is going to be their final 15th anniversary offering.
