Days Gone DLC Trailer Has Gamers Losing Their Minds

Fans are desperate to know if this means Days Gone 2 is in the works

A brand new trailer for Days Gone has fans asking the same question… does this mean there’s a chance we might be getting a sequel?

In case you’re unaware, a remastered version of Days Gone dropped back in April this year on both PlayStation 5 and Steam.

The remaster added a bunch of new stuff to the game, such as increased draw distance, VRR support, 3D audio support, faster load times, and even some brand new content.

Well, the new content was actually only packaged with the remastered version on PlayStation.

Steam users had to pay an extra £10 to get their hands on the new Broken Road DLC, which added the new Horde Assault arcade mode, a permadeath mode, and a speedrun mode.

Steam isn’t the only platform that got access to the DLC though, as GoG just announced on Twitter that the Broken Road DLC is now available through their storefront as well.

Naturally, the trailer has everyone in the comments freaking out about the possibility of a sequel to the game.

“So, if they made new dlc for Days Gone...does that mean there may or may not be a sequel some day?” commented user @TyCross1337Beta.

“We are all praying. The studio is obviously active, I can't imagine they have a bigger ip than this”, replied user @gmCursOr.

“They stated many times there would be no sequel, but the game has really gained favor with gamers for both quality and content. But there is no official indication.”

It’s tough to say, personally, because it seems like Days Gone sold alright.

I think the chances of a sequel would honestly depend entirely on how the remastered version of the game sold, and whether or not the DLC is selling well on both Steam and GoG.

One look at the Steam reviews for the Broken Road DLC shows that a lot of people are buying it solely to increase the chances of a sequel, so perhaps there is hope for a Days Gone 2.
