There’s nothing more heartbreaking than realising you had the chance to bag yourselves some free store credit, only for that opportunity to pass you by because you didn’t act fast enough. This is why one PlayStation user is urging their fellow gamers to grab that free credit while they can.
It’s incredibly easy to forget you have points at all, if, like me, you’re on yet another playthrough of Baldur’s Gate 3 without any concern for anything else. But by ignoring those points, we could be doing ourselves out of a lot of free store credit.
Will you be collecting those points by playing God of Ragnarök: Valhalla?
The OP on Reddit revealed that they “netted” $60 in store credit by banking all the points they had, with them admitting it came from “coins I didn’t know I had”. Alongside this admission, they also shared a screenshot breaking down what a certain amount of coins/points equals in PS credit; we do love a helpful gamer.

“I’ve been holding out til I can redeem them for $20, but now that I do the math, there’s no point,” responded one excited gamer, before hurrying off to make use of this brand new information (we assume, we can’t know for sure, but they’d be a fool not to).
Unfortunately, not everyone was as elated by this free store credit information. “I missed out on a lot of points,” started one sorry Redditor. “apparently, despite what it says online, you need PS Plus to get points for buying games and I went a year without renewing my subscription because there were no multiplayer games I wanted to play, so I didn’t get anything for the games I bought all year.”
That’s gotta sting. However, as another PS user pointed out, they’d likely “saved more money” than they’d have been able to get from converting points, especially if they made no use of PS Plus for an entire year.
Look, what you do with all the above information is up to you, we’re just here to make sure you can take advantage of free store credit if you’re of a mind to.
