This year has been full of surprises, with those unexpected developments set to continue thanks to a PlayStation exclusive.

If we cast our minds back to the year of its release – 2022 – it seems odd that PlayStation is delivering a revamped way to experience the game.
Although GAMINGbible described it as returning the franchise to “pole position”, Gran Turismo 7 ended up being dubbed as one of Sony’s worst rated titles ever.

While that thorny crown has undoubtedly been given to another game since then, it’s fair to say that Gran Turismo 7 getting a new release is quite the surprise.
Yes, Gran Turismo is one of Sony’s longest running franchises, however, its newer releases haven’t always hit their stride.
The news comes as PlayStation begins to plan for its 30th anniversary celebrations.
A lot of merriment is planned to mark this huge milestone, so do make sure to keep your eyes peeled for all the other goodies on the way in the coming months.

But for now, let’s keep our sights fixed on this new Grand Turismo 7, or should we say, My First GT.
This is what the free to play trial will be called, as outlined on the PlayStation blog.
“This holiday, look forward to a free trial version designed to attract diverse players of all skill levels to the globally acclaimed Gran Turismo 7,” it reads.
“This upcoming release will include some of the favorite cars, tracks, and race events that evoke the nostalgia and excitement of the very first GT experience. Look out for more details on My First GT, available to all PS5 and PS4 players this holiday.”
