One feature of this change that has already come into effect is that points you've earned through PS Stars will expire after 12 months.

As if that wasn’t bad enough, Sony has announced that subscription payments won’t earn you any points.
In case you didn’t know, previously what you spent on your PS Plus membership, such as its renewal, yielded points.
Come March 2025, this will be a thing of the past.

Understandably, PS users are feeling just as confused, if not more so.
“Totally diminished any amount that I cared about this system,” posted Redditor ToothlessFTW.
A system that never felt designed to be of genuine benefit to its customers is becoming “significantly harder” to use.
It would be nice if Sony walked back these changes, though such a U-turn is doubtful.
