The newly announced PlayStation 5 Slim isn't even out yet, but that still hasn't stopped continued talk on the rumours of a Pro console.
Back in October this year, Sony announced the PlayStation 5 Slim, a console that is not only smaller in weight and dimensions, but also has increased storage space and a detachable disc drive too. The volume of the revised console has decreased by 30% and its weight by 18% and 24% compared to previous models.
Take a look at the new slim PlayStation 5 console below!
Recently, images of the slimmer console were making internet sounds revealing a side-by-side comparison with the original model. Sure, the size between both consoles isn't massive, but it’s at least quite noticeable. Whether that warrants a purchase over the original model, is subjective to the individual.

It will be interesting to see if Microsoft makes a similar move by announcing a new Series X console of its own. That being said, Microsoft has recently released a revised Xbox Series S with a 1TB hard drive, so it’s unlikely we’ll see a new console from the green brand anytime soon.
So with the PS5 Slim expected to arrive on 8 November, we won't likely see the rumoured PlayStation 5 Pro until at least next year. However, that seemingly hasn't stopped Sony from preparing for the launch of its next console.
According to apparent sources of the YouTube channel RedGamingTech, the PlayStation 5 Pro looks like it might be an absolute beast. It’s claimed that it will feature eight-core Zen 2 CPUs which clock in at 4GHz, an RDNA 3 GPU at 2.8 GHZ as well as 16GB of 18,000 MT/s GDDR6 memory with a bandwidth of 587 GB/s.
Obviously, it’s worth keeping in mind that the rumoured specs are currently unconfirmed at this time. That being said, the details are very specific, so perhaps there is no smoke without fire. Hopefully, Sony will reveal all the juicy details in the coming months. We’ll keep you posted should we hear of any further developments.
