The details of the new PlayStation 6 have reportedly leaked, and it might not be what you’d expect.
At this time, Sony hasn't officially announced the PlayStation 6. However, Sony has registered trademarks up to the PlayStation 10, so we all know it will happen at some point.
Heck, even without the registered trademarks, the PlayStation 6 is inevitable. After all, there’s no way Sony won't release its next-gen console to let Microsoft and Nintendo claim all the market share.

That being said, according to a rumour shared on Reddit (via NeoGAF), industry insider and gossip curator KeplerL2, claims that not only will Sony be releasing a PlayStation 6 console but also a PS6 portable version.
The rumoured PlayStation 6 portable will be powered by a low 15w System-on-Chip on a 3-nanometer microchip. If true, not only will it be a decent handheld device but it also won't totally drain the battery life.

However, the portable PlayStation 6 reportedly won't be as powerful as a PlayStation 5. While this may seem like an odd design choice by Sony, let’s not forget that this is a handheld device and not a traditional home console.
Additional information is shared in another Reddit post clarifying that the portable PlayStation 6 can still run PS5 games but in terms of resolution and framerates, it will be somewhere between the Xbox Series S and the PS5.
“Respectfully, if you thought Sony could produce a handheld at the PS5 power level anytime soon, I have a bridge to sell you,” replied Reddit user NfinityBL.
“Depending on the price that sounds really good,” said TEoSaT with RDO-PrivateLobbies adding “It might be one portable I'm actually interested in.”
