What a thrill… we’ve finally got our first look at gameplay for the Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, and it’s looking promising so far.
Announced during a PlayStation Showcase earlier this year, Konami will be releasing a full-on remake of Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, and it’s even bringing back the original voice actor for Snake, David Hayter.

The new gameplay showed off the now iconic jungle the game starts in, which looks absolutely gorgeous. It also featured some of the critters who live there, which are an integral part of the game's survival mechanic, as the player needs to hunt the local wildlife for food and supplies.

Of course, no Metal Gear Solid gameplay is complete without a bit of sneaking around, so we needed to see the game's stealth in action.
The showcase delivered, featuring several clips of Naked Snake patrolling the jungle, hiding behind trees and in foliage, and setting his sights on guards blocking his path.
It's obviously still early days for the game as the remake is set to launch sometime next year, so there's likely still plenty of work to be done before it's finished.
Konami has confirmed that more remakes of Metal Gear Solid games could be released in the future, depending on how much fans want them.

In other news, the Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol. 1 was released this week but is being slated online for its current state, with bad graphics and poor performance on PC causing outrage amongst fans. It's been such a disappointment that fans are worried the same disregard for quality will affect the upcoming remake as well.
The collection is available for all platforms, with the Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater remake set to launch on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC.
