With the God of War series back in the limelight thanks to an announcement at last night’s State of Play event, PlayStation users can get their hands on a free item to celebrate.
Yesterday saw Sony’s annual State of Play event and alongside news of some upcoming titles and remasters, it was also revealed that God of War Ragnarök would finally be getting its PC port this September.
Check out the trailer for God of War Ragnarök below ahead of its PC port release!
With the title no longer a PlayStation exclusive, a whole new legion of players will be able to explore the sequel to 2018’s God of War, that is if they are able to access a PSN account. Oops.

However, to celebrate this news, PlayStation is giving its users the chance to get their hands on a free item without the need for a PlayStation Plus subscription.
By becoming a member of the PlayStation Stars loyalty programme, players will be able to rack up points by simply playing games, completing in-game challenges, making purchases via the PS Store and more.
In return, these points can be exchanged for free store credit or in this case, a Kratos inspired enamel pin which can be added to your digital shelf for 800 points.
Although this accumulation of points will take a while to earn, it is worth it for such a cool collectible that can be redeemed via the rewards section of the PlayStation app.

In related news, PlayStation Stars members can also add another digital memento to their collection in the form of a “Days of Play” model. The virtual freebie will be the perfect addition to your PlayStation shelf and although it doesn’t do anything in particular, it’s perfect for the collectors amongst us.
All of these digital collectibles and more are free to download and keep by signing up to the equally-as-free PlayStation Stars.
