A now-deleted Bloodborne tweet from an official PlayStation account has sent the rumour mill into overdrive with fans speculating what it could mean.
To say that Bloodborne is one of the best games from developer FromSoftware carries a lot of weight considering this is from the same studio that brought us the likes of Dark Souls, Demon’s Souls, Elden Ring and much more.
Check out the Bloodborne: The Old Hunters trailer below!
Released in 2015 on PlayStation 4, Bloodborne sees you play as a Hunter, who’s on a relentless mission to slay all the demons that plague the gothic town of Yarnham and beyond.

According to the aggregate website Metacritic, Bloodborne is the second-highest-rated game by FromSoftware with a score of 92, defeated only by 2022’s Elden Ring, which scored 96.
While no stranger to developing sequels as seen with the Dark Souls and Armored Core series, fans have been left wondering for nearly a decade whether Bloodborne will also get a sequel or if the critically acclaimed expansion, The Old Hunters is the best we’ll get.
Heck, fans are also desperate for a remake or remaster as well as a PC release. Sure, Bloodborne is playable on the PlayStation 5 but it’s locked at 30 frames per second and the visuals are understandably a little outdated (as gorgeous as it still is).
Rumours have been floating around for years that we’ll get a Bloodborne remaster or sequel but at the time of writing, we’re still left waiting.

Understandably, fans will take whatever glimmer of hope they can get with a new Bloodborne release such as a suspicious tweet from PlayStation Germany, which was swiftly deleted.
“PlayStation Germany (for some reason) tweets ‘We say Bloodborne, you say…?’,” shared Reddit user Scarfaaace.

“I swear the admins for these regional accounts are the biggest trolls of all,” joked a Redditor in response.
“Bloodborne remastered, coming exclusively to the Nintendo Switch 2,” said a tongue-in-cheek Flint_Vorselon.
“STOP TEASING ME,” yelled RipMcStudly.
Interestingly, there’s no such Bloodborne tweet on other PlayStation accounts in other regions.

What’s more, PlayStation Germany posted something very similar about The Witcher 4, a tweet that hasn't been deleted. Make of that what you will.

Of course, the deleted Bloodborne tweet could mean nothing but as Lloyd said in the movie Dumb and Dumber, if this tweet does mean something and PlayStation is hinting that “there’s a chance”, we’ll take that slither of optimism any day.
Bloodborne is out now on PlayStation and is included in PS Plus Extra and Premium at no extra cost for subscribers.
