While we know that Bethesda is working on some highly-requested features for Starfield, they’re relatively slow rolling out patch updates. Worry not though. Modders are on the case.
Can you believe that Starfield has been out for almost two months? Whilst it’s still dazzling a large number of players, it’s also odd seeing just how many people have already moved on from the game. I actually dove back in a couple of days ago after a small break and I’m having great fun again exploring this world with a renewed freshness. Starfield did succeed in becoming September’s best-selling game despite launching on Game Pass, and the community is thriving - with players sharing their must know tips. Today though, I bring you news of the first community patch.
Take a look at our review of Starfield below.
As reported by DSOGaming, Starfield’s first community made mod patch update has arrived and it contains an enormous amount of fixes. It’s available for PC players to download now and while I’d be here forever describing every single fix, I will do my best to dive into the highlights.

Electromagnetic and missile weapons damage has been modified, an issue surrounding the rejuvenation skill has been rectified, various suppressor and turret ship weapons can now smoothly recharge on the HUD, a fix has been applied to the undiscovered temples number, Constellation companions no longer have wrong dialogue in New Game Plus after completing ‘Foreknowledge’, companions will no longer become angry at the player for boarding a hostile ship and attacking the crew, and Neon security will no longer say you have a bounty even if you’ve never been arrested.
That’s not all. Companions will correctly comment on changing player appearance, several typos have been corrected, player characters will no longer get stuck headtracking to the left while sprinting or jumping, while several translation inconsistencies have also been rectified. See? It’s well worth downloading if you’re a PC player.
