To use an oft overused phrase, Stardew Valley is the gift that keeps on giving.
Developer Eric ‘ConcernedApe’ Barone is constantly beavering away on new content updates; so much so that his follow-up game, Haunted Chocolatier, is struggling to see the light of day.
We can hardly complain though.

Stardew Valley is Barone’s crown jewel, and it’s great that we’re still receiving hefty updates nine years after the game’s original release - like last year’s Update 1.6, for example.
Plus Barone recently surfaced to say that we needn’t worry about Haunted Chocolatier. It’s still in the works.
The breadth of the game increases further when you take Stardew Valley’s vibrant modding community into consideration.
There are hundreds of mods, all adding new locations, items, NPCs, and quests to the game.

But today, it’s ‘Island Resort Collection’ by NexusMods user farmerbeans that I’d like to bring to your attention.
If you enjoy Stardew Valley, you’ll likely enjoy Hello Kitty Island Adventure too.
‘Island Resort Collection’ is the equivalent of a The Sims Stuff Pack, adding a ton of new furniture and building options.

If you hadn’t guessed, all of the items boast a tropical island theme.
The mod comes with its own catalogue where you can view the 100+ unique island themed furniture and decor items.
You can also update the Farmhouse and Island hut kitchens to match, as well as optionally reskin the restored Resort, Island Hut and Farm Warp Obelisk.
You will, however, need Content Patcher and Calcifer installed in order to get this mod to work - and it’s only for those on PC, if that wasn’t clear.

You can nab the in-game catalogue from the Island Trader in the Bluebird Shop.
Honestly, the items in this mod are stunning and I’m already feeling a crisis coming on.
I get everything looking exactly as I want it to in-game and then something like this crops up.
I guess I’m spending this weekend completing an island-inspired makeover of my farm.

‘Island Resort Collection’ is free and available to download from NexusMods now.
