Have you ever wanted to immerse yourself in a world similar to Game of Thrones but that’s housed within a game like Skyrim? It sounds like an ambitious task, yet a new RPG is attempting to make it happen.
Seeing as Bethesda’s Skyrim has been declared the best game of all time, it’s unsurprising that creatives are keen to take the basics of the game and turn it into something potentially even better. Such an undertaking would present many hurdles to overcome, but when have dedicated souls ever let hurdles stop them?
Skyros looks absolutely stunning!
Skyros is a “large scale Game of Thrones themed mod”, so large in fact that it feels like a completely new game. Even the devs behind the project refer to it as “transforming” Skyrim into GoT, so, yes, technically it’s a mod, but it’s a mod that feels like a whole new RPG.

When Skyros got its worldwide reveal, gamers were quick to praise the modders for the work they’ve put in, with one particular fan stating that “Skyrim modders are better game developers than most game companies.”
Others explained how the Skyros team are making “dreams a reality”, bestowing GoT fans with the chance to rewrite an ending that left many bitter. “The amount of GoT fans who are gonna see this and start playing Skyrim just to change the ending at their will,” they said. “Skyrim can literally make that happen, thanks to this team for making that dream a reality.”
Love for this supersized ambitious project is so strong that some fans have said they’d pay for the privilege of experiencing such a game. “I would pay for these mods man... jeez Louise, the power of the modding community is unbelievable... UNBELIEVABLE!”
When Skyros is finally ready to be conquered, we wonder if other players will discover a super secret “good ending” in record time like others have; we certainly hope they do. So many possibilities are opening up in the world of GoT and The Elder Scrolls…
