If you’re a fan of both The Elder Scrolls and Dark Souls, then I have something that combines the best of both worlds.
‘The Elder Souls - Skyrim’ is a mod collection curated to bring several elements of FromSoft’s acclaimed trilogy to Tamriel.
It goes without saying that in order to access this collection, you’ll need to have a copy of The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim on PC, as well as a fair bit of space too.

The mod collection is a whopping 81.7MB in total and has been put together by NexusMods user MegaToad48, but you’ll get plenty of content to keep you busy.
The collection includes 19 mods in total, focusing on combat, user interface, animation, and more.
In summary though, MegaToad48 had the following to say with regards to the collection: “A collection of mods to make gameplay as close to Dark Souls possible, entirely focused on combat-based changes as well as movement, animations and HUD without touching the graphic setting as well as minimal mod count for extra efficiency to retain compatibility with older computers while still accomplishing the task at hand.”
FromSoft fans will be counting down the days until the release of Elden Ring: Nightreign, I imagine.
That’s good to hear, so while you’ll need a fair bit of space, you won’t need top-end kit to access these mods.

The modder advises that you have a minimum of the following: 4GB RAM and Intel HD Graphics 2000.
In summary, the collection should introduce better and smoother animations, camera controls, player movement, and attacks, as well as “increased survivability thanks to dodging and dodgeable projectiles”.
The collection is totally free, but you’ll want to carefully peruse the download requirements which you can do so on the mod collection’s listing page.
Of course, if you don’t enjoy the intensity of Dark Souls’ combat then perhaps this one won’t be for you.

But the collection is free after all, so don’t doubt your abilities.
Maybe you are more than capable of upping the ante. There’s only one way to find out.
