Red Dead Redemption 2 gets free epilogue expansion that’s a hit with fans

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets free epilogue expansion that’s a hit with fans

A welcomed way to change up the base game

We’re all familiar by now with the fact that Grand Theft Auto VI is set to land next year.

The latest instalment will take us back to Vice City where we’ll meet Bonnie and Clyde-style duo Lucia and Jason.

Beyond that, I’m afraid we don’t know much about what else the game has in store.

It’ll be landing on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S - although PC users are certainly hoping they'll receive a version in due course too.

As excited as I am for GTA VI, I’m also desperate to know what’s next for the Red Dead franchise.

It sounds like a PC port of the original Red Dead Redemption is on the way which, yes, is great news but what of a new instalment entirely?

Well, we’re totally in the dark as to what Rockstar’s plans are but for those craving a Red Dead fix, you may want to check out this incredible epilogue mod that extends our beloved Red Dead Redemption 2.

Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails below.

John Marston Restored and Enhanced’ has been created by NexusMods user HeisenbussyMods.

As revealed by the description, the mod “restores and enhances the experience of playing as John Marston in the epilogue as well as improves the appearance and function of his NPC counterpart”.

Delving further into the specifics, the project will alter or eliminate as many Arthur assets as possible from John’s appearance.

It’s recommended that you play this mod alongside the ‘Extended John Marston Animations’ mod but, of course, it’s not a requirement.

You can visit any Trapper in the game to acquire some of the additional clothing and bonus content that this mod adds.

As for the mandatory requirements, you’ll need to download the ‘Lenny’s Mod Loader’ and ‘ASI Loader’ mods first, but then you can get going with this particular one.

It’s totally free to enjoy on NexusMods and is a great little addition to switch up the feel of Red Dead Redemption 2’s end-game.
