What do the Fallout, Elder Scrolls, Grand Theft Auto, and Red Dead Redemption franchises all have in common?
If you said incredible modding communities then ding, ding, ding. You’ve hit the jackpot.
Thanks to the creativity and talent of fans, Red Dead Redemption 2 feels renewed and fresh long after Rockstar Games stopped supporting the game with content.

From DLC sized expansions to cosy homestead builds, there’s a bit of something for everyone in the world of Red Dead Redemption 2 mods.
And with new mods being released all of the time, there’s always an excuse to return to this gem of a game - if you’re playing on PC that is.
The mod I want to highlight today is the excellent ‘Life of Crime 2.0.2’ created by NexusMods user CruelMasterMC.
Take a look at some of our favourite Red Dead Redemption 2 wins and fails from over the years.
Instead of playing as Arthur Morgan, the ‘Life of Crime 2.0.2’ mod will see you create your own character.

“The whole point of the mod is to play as a completely NEW character with all of your weapons and money being removed that is designed by you (using mp male or female), NOT to play as Arthur or John,” wrote the creator.
“This is the whole point of the mod. And while you play on in the game you can earn all of the weapons by buying them from a gunsmith or finding them anywhere on the map, and earn more money from doing missions and such to pay for these things and many more things I plan on adding.”
Since the base mode of the mod was released, CruelMasterMC has added a wardrobe, rank system, skill tree, intro robbery mission, and an interaction menu in addition to revamping their original character creator and adapting the game’s music.
The end result is an experience that feels wholly new. It’s well worth a go for those of you who feel like you know Arthur Morgan’s tale like the back of your hand.
