Do you think Red Dead Redemption 2 is too easy? Do you wish enemies had access to the same Deadeye-hacks that Arthur Morgan and John Marston do? Do you enjoy getting your head blown off the second you peak out of cover?
Well, if you said “yes” to any of those questions, then oh boy do I have the mod for you.
“Deadly Precision” is a new mod for Rockstar Games’ Red Dead Redemption 2 from author YGBRO that very much does what it says on the tin, because it aims to enhance NPCs’ accuracy in a bid to provide the game with more “intense and realistic gunfights”.

“Tired of NPCs in Red Dead Redemption 2 missing their shots like drunk outlaws at a saloon?” writes mod author YGBRO, “This mod overhauls NPC accuracy, making gunfights more intense, enemies more dangerous, and shootouts more realistic.”
Take a look at some of our favourite wins and fails from the game below.
“No more running in circles while enemies struggle to hit you—now, every bullet counts.”

The Deadly Precision mod touts "increased overall accuracy" for NPCs, "better tracking" when the player moves out of cover, "more precise cover fire" so that enemies shooting from cover are more dangerous, and "balanced realism" that makes the AI "tough but not unfair".
Reading through this is making me think I’ve been playing Red Dead Redemption 2 wrong this whole time. I didn’t realise all the NPCs had the stormtrooper aim. I’ve been turtling behind cover and picking people off with headshots like a moron.
Unfortunately, this mod is actually so new that there isn’t much in the way of feedback for it yet, but YGBRO is a pretty accomplished mod author.
Still, I’m not going to be the one to test it for you masochists. You guinea pigs feel free to go out there and tell me how balanced this one is first.
