It’s hard to comprehend that it’s been over a decade since Rayman Legends was first released.
This 2013 platformer is a certified must-play, garnering critical acclaim upon release. In fact, it boasts a very respectable score of 92 over on Metacritic.
With that in mind, it’s criminal that Rayman hasn’t had a full game outing since. He did pop up in Mario + Rabbids Sparks of Hope but that’s not exactly what fans are craving.

While we have no idea if Ubisoft is cooking up another Rayman entry, we do know that one fan is with an Unreal Engine recreation of Rayman 3 currently in the works.
Ubisoft has plenty in the pipeline, including Assassin’s Creed Codename Red.
The project is the work of YouTuber Marked as Unreal who wrote, “So I started working on a remake of Ubisoft's Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc. Hope you like what you see.”

As I’m sure you’re aware, Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc launched back in 2003 on the GameCube, PlayStation 2, Xbox, and Windows PC so its graphics are most certainly in need of updating.
Marked as Unreal’s remake doesn’t lose any of the original game’s charm but it does launch us into something wholly new that’s far more detailed and immersive than the original.
Of course, revisiting old favourites is a joy but so too is it nice to enjoy those nostalgic gems without the jank of yesteryear.

At this point in time, it’s unclear whether the creator intends to recreate the whole game and if they do, whether it’ll ever be available to download.
With that in mind, it’s probably worth keeping an eye on Marked as Unreal’s YouTube channel for further updates.
Already, viewers are impressed.
“Holy HECK, this is GORGEOUS! Rayman 3 is one of my favourite games of all time, so glad to see it getting the love it deserves️. These environments are absolutely beautiful and I adore how much more expressive the characters are,” one comment read.

“This looks absolutely incredible! For sure going to keep my fingers crossed to hopefully see this project being finished one day,” another added.
I fully concur. This is a magnificent project.
