Are we getting a Dino crisis remake? The jury’s still out on that one, unfortunately. Thankfully, there’s Dino Crisis: Rebirth to save the day.
For the longest time, being a Dino Crisis fan was tough going.
In truth, it still is, for there’s no sign of a remake from Capcom. That said, there have been multiple stirrings within the industry suggesting that we might finally be getting a shot at a remake.

There’s also the fact that the first two games joined PlayStation Plus, much to the delight of the fandom.
Seeing this survival horror classic revived was music to their ears.
The celebrations for Dino Crisis players continue thanks to Dino Crisis: Rebirth.
Let's be honest, Dino Crisis: Rebirth looks amazing
It should go without saying, but just on the off-chance I’ve not been clear enough already - this is a fan-made remake, not an official Capcom one.

Still, while it doesn’t come from the renown brand, that isn’t to say it isn’t worth playing.
This Unreal Engine 5 creation has been made by one developer, and thus it’s far from a perfectly polished product.
Furthermore, as its creator Stefano Cagnani draws your attention to before downloading the remake, “This project is purely inspired by the original 1999 game, but it does not represent a full remake.”
Despite it being fan-made, as well as not being a fully-fledged recreation of the original, gamers are still impressed by what they’ve seen.

“Holy F*ck! I've been asking for this for Years! YEARS! Someone finally did it!” posted @SBTD911.
On the itch-io Dino Crisis: Rebirth page, user Lavant commented, “Impressive, nostalgic and very well done!”
