Unless you have been living under a rock, you will know that Palworld is currently taking the gaming world by storm. With everything from eye-watering Steam stats to being under investigation by The Pokémon Company, the game has it all. Well, except a minimap but that may soon change!
Released earlier this month, Palworld is the latest monster-taming, action-adventure survival game to completely take over the world. After recently hitting 6 million sold copies in just four days, the title developed by Pocket Pair has gone on to become Steam’s biggest paid game ever.

However, with the game seemingly taking a bit too much inspiration from Pokémon, it has recently come under fire for suspected plagiarism and as a result, the brand-new game is set to be “investigated” by The Pokémon Company.

Despite the controversy, fans are still flocking to Palworld but with the title still in early access, it is far from perfect and players are calling out for some quality of life changes. With a roadmap of upcoming features and events laid out, the developers are hard at work on making Palworld an enjoyable experience but one major addition is missing - a minimap.
Although Pocket Pair is yet to announce an official minimap, one modder has taken issues into their own hands by creating one that is free to download now. The mod created by Dekita adds a small minimap to the bottom right of the screen that can be hidden in battle and even features an auto zoom feature. Available both in single and co-op play, the small and simple feature will make a vast difference to your gameplay.
Although it still has a few issues that need ironing out such as the exclusion of a fixed north point, it is still worth adding to your Palworld save for a quick and simple quality of life change.
This news comes after one modder already added a Pokémon mod to the game.
