Hogwarts Legacy’s Nintendo Switch release is almost upon us - on 14 November to be exact. For the vast majority of players though, Hogwarts Legacy is likely to be a distant memory seeing as the game first released to PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S players all the way back in February.
Many fans are therefore clamouring for a sequel announcement, or perhaps even the promise of an expansion. The thing is, we probably won’t get a reveal of this kind until the Nintendo Switch release is over and done with. For a while, players wondered if the Switch could even handle Hogwarts Legacy seeing as the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of the game underwent simplifications. For example, external castle bridges were turned into internal corridors to cut down on the need to load environments, but we’ve since had our first look at the Switch port and the graphics are better than we expected. If you’re an OG PC player though, craving something new, you may want to check out this fun Elder Wand mod.

‘The Elder Wand’ mod is the work of NexusMods user Sirgalahad172, and it does exactly what you might expect. It introduces the famous Elder Wand into the game. Do bear in mind though that this is simply the Elder Wand in terms of its aesthetic. As Harry Potter fans know, it’s the most powerful wand in existence but the mod “doesn’t increase damage” or cooldown. It’s simply “just the looks”.

Still, if you’re looking to add a bit more Potter-related familiarity into the game, it could be a fun mod. There are plenty of great mods out there. One adds rideable dragons, while another modding group created a New Game Plus option.
If DLC is announced, fans are desperate to visit Diagon Alley, Azkaban, or the Chamber of Secrets. Some have even said that it would be cool to explore the bottom of the Great Lake / Black Lake. The possibilities are endless.
