
You can play a version of what the GTA VI map might look like right now for free, as anticipation continues to build for the Rockstar Games release.
It’s now been well over a year since Rockstar Games released the first trailer for GTA VI and fans are itching to learn more about the game such as its release date and wanting to see a lot more of the game in action.

We’re now a few months into 2025 and there seems to be no indication of when Rockstar Games will release the second trailer for the next installment of the Grand Theft Auto series. Because of this, fans will explore any possible lead as to when GTA VI trailer two will arrive.

We know for sure that GTA VI will feature the returning Miami-inspired Vice City, the home of the beloved 2002’s GTA: Vice City. Rumours have been making the rounds claiming that GTA VI will be the biggest game in the franchise also seeing the return of Liberty City and more.
In the meantime, while we wait for Rockstar Games to drop new details, a fan-made map of GTA VI has been in development for years and it’s finally playable, despite reported threats of cease-and-desists.
Created by Dark Space, the map created using GTA V, is seemingly an ideal download for those who like to partake in GTA role-playing servers is inspired by community creations and leaks related to GTA VI. It’s said to be the most accurate representation of what the official Rockstar Games map could look like.
Dark Space has said that the map will be available to download for free unless Rockstar Games parent company, Take-Two Interactive takes it down. Dark Space has also allowed this map to be altered, updated and improved by anyone who downloads it, which will be great news for GTA role-players.

To download the mod, as per instructions in the YouTube video, Dark Space recommended joining the Discord server.
As for the real GTA VI, at the time of writing, it’s scheduled to be released late this year on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, assuming it suffers no delay. Its PC release is yet to be announced.
