New God of War is already being review bombed by angry gamers

If you wanna anger a god, be our guest...

The review bombing of God of War Ragnarök on PC once again proves we can’t have nice things because other people keep ruining it for us.

Being able to play as Kratos on your PC should be a cause for celebration, yet many fans have taken to Steam to criticise the new release instead.

PC gamers have been waiting for PlayStation’s acclaimed title to be accessible to them.

Yet now that the moment is here, and God of War Ragnarök is playable, they’re review bombing it for all that it’s worth.

Boy, you better watch the God of War Ragnarök trailer before you leave

Why, you may ask.

It’s due to the matter of needing to link your PSN account.

“Incredibly frustrating to see the enforcement of a PSN account for a SINGLE PLAYER game,” said Steam user Runakai, “No matter how good the game is, you shouldn't be forced to do that.”

Others, although frustrated, managed to channel their annoyance into poetic prose.

“I bought God of War, ready to slay, But Sony steps in, blocking my way. ‘Sign in to PSN,’ they bark like a beast, Before I play, they need their feast,” commented Rhavan as part of their negative review.

Although the majority of negativity is focused on the PSN controversy, there are some players annoyed at the game's apparent lack of quality.

This problem has since been “fixed” thanks to a patch according to user Nebulous. However, their negative feedback has still tainted the overall score for the game.

At the time of writing this, over 4,000 reviews have been left which have generated an overall rating of “mixed”.

Roughly, that works out as a 6/10 score.

It isn’t all bad news for Kratos though, as fans are excited about the perfect casting for the legendary character in the new Amazon series.

While his official return this month hasn’t gone as planned, at least there’s some positivity surrounding this legendary god.
