A free download on the PlayStation Store is impressing users, mostly because of how generously long it is.
You can currently get your hands on a three hour long demo for one of the most underrated titles of the last few years, and Star Wars fans that were holding off on giving this one a go may want to see if the recent content updates and patches can persuade them to finally jump in.
“Play the game during 3h for free!” Ubisoft revealed on the official Star Wars Outlaws site.

“As scoundrel Kay Vess, experience the iconic planet of Tatooine alongside your loyal companion, Nix, as you seek out a mercenary to join your crew.”
As Ubisoft states in the description for the demo, it seems there really are no limits on what you can do during the allotted demo period.
Three hours is a pretty hefty amount of time to help you decide whether or not you want to play the full game too, so it seems like a pretty clever move on their behalf.
You can watch the game in action below.
Over on the r/StarWarsLeaks subreddit, fans are extremely happy that the game is finally getting a demo… although they’re also confused as to why it took Ubisoft so long to release one.

“Interesting move. I think it's a good chance for people to actually give it a try, the game did not even remotely deserve the insane amount of hate it got,” commented user SirDerageTheSecond.
“It's by no means the best game ever, or that it does anything groundbreaking, but it was fun and immersive. Easily a 7+ or even an 8 out of 10 if you love immersive Star Wars games.”
“Glad more people will have an opportunity to experience the game, that demo should be a great vertical slice of the general gameplay loop,” replied user therealyittyb.
Honestly, I really am surprised this game didn’t drop with some kind of demo. A lot of the negative response did seem to stem from those that never intended to buy the title in the first place, so a demo would have helped to offset some of the anti-”woke” crowd’s rhetoric.

Here’s hoping this one gets a second life following the demo’s release.
