We all know that Fallout 5 is coming but before that day arrives, we’re getting this remake of a beloved classic in the series.
Bethesda chief Todd Howard has already confirmed that Fallout 5 is on the way but at this point, it’s anyone’s guess when it will be released.
If we were to take a guess, it’s probably safe to assume that Fallout 5 will be a next-gen title, likely released after The Elder Scrolls VI.

Check out the Fallout 4: Project Arroyo trailer below!
Thankfully, before we are graced with the presence of either Fallout 5 or The Elder Scrolls VI, there’s still plenty of fun to be had with current entries of those popular Bethesda RPG series, namely Fallout 4 and Skyrim.
Other than being fantastic games, one of the reasons why fans cannot get enough of these games is largely due to their talented and ever-vibrant modding communities. One such brilliant mod is for Fallout 4 and it’s a remake of Fallout 2 from 1998, developed by Black Isle Studios.

The remake in question is the expansion-sized mod Fallout 4: Project Arroyo, which, at the time of writing, does not have a release date but we have been treated to a sweet teaser in the meantime.
As reported by PCGamesN, a new trailer which captures the essence lets us all know that you can bring the Pip-Boy 2000 from Fallout 2 into Fallout 4, and best of all, it’s available to download today via NexusMods.
“Project Arroyo aims to recreate and reimagine Fallout 2 in Fallout 4's Creation Engine. This standalone mod is the Pip-Boy that will be featured in the project,” reads the description of the free mod.

Unfortunately, as awesome as this Pip-Boy mod is, it’s not available on Xbox via the Creation Club because it’s a PC exclusive.
For the rest of us, we can still enjoy Fallout 4 as intended on PlayStation and Xbox. What’s more, Fallout 4 is included in Xbox Game Pass as well as PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium at no extra cost.
