Just when you thought you didn't need another reason to jump back into Fallout 4, along comes this free expansion that supports a great cause.
Originally released in 2015 on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, before receiving its free new-gen update in 2024, Fallout 4 is one of the most beloved entries in Bethesda’s post-apocalyptic series.
In 2024, largely thanks to the success of the live-action Fallout series from Amazon (which has been renewed for a second season), a ton of new fans were welcomed into the series. Not only with Fallout 4 but also the likes of the MMORPG spin-off, Fallout 76.
If, for whatever reason, you thought you were done with the single-player campaign of Fallout 4, not only can you play one of its officially released pieces of DLC from Bethesda, but also a wealth of other content courtesy of the talented modding community.

There are tons of mods to choose from, many of which can be found on Bethesda’s Creation Club. One such mod, created by the ‘Modding for Charity’ team, is called ‘Transmission Zeta - with Wes Johnson’ and it's free to download now via NexusMods.
“During the questline, you'll explore a new dungeon crafted by the Concord Stories team! As a reward, you get access to a player home by Elianora, a new weapon by Neeher, a new piece of armour from Niero, and you'll be joined by a brand new companion,” the mod description states.
That new companion is voiced by actor Wes Johnson, who also stars in the base Fallout 4 game. How cool is that?
As previously mentioned, this mod is free to download and play, but it was also created to help raise money in the ongoing fight against Alzheimer's, on behalf of the Alzheimer's Association.

Whether it’s directly or indirectly through someone we know outside of the family, I think Alzheimer's is a cruel disease that we can all relate to in one way or another.
The fundraising page set up by Modding for Charity developers allows you to donate any amount, and you can share the page if you wish. At the end of the day, it all helps.
