You may not know that CD Projekt RED actually owns PC storefront GOG, but now you do - and it just so happens that GOG has added a brand new freebie.
Nomads of Driftland is a free real-time strategy game that launched back in 2020. “Not everyone on the planet Driftland is happy with the new order brought by the mages-rulers,” the synopsis teases. “Is this nothing more than an attempt to restore the apparent balance that has almost destroyed the entire planet once? Join the brave Nomads and fight for freedom on your own terms.” Over on Steam, the game has a ‘Mostly Positive’ review score, with players praising the unique gameplay and vast potential.
Well, if you’re a fan of the game, you’ll know that there are several add-ons you can purchase, including Nomads of Driftland: The Forgotten Passage. While this will set you back £3.99 on storefront Steam, you can currently bag it for free on GOG.

PlayStation Plus subscribers only have a few more days to nab day one launch Foamstars. Take a look at the game in action below.
The Forgotten Passage pack adds 10 new scenarios to the base game. Those are: the long-awaited ally, the sources, dwarven solidarity, gold rush, forsaken wastes, large-scale encounter, ancient knowledge, from ashes to bones, path clearing, and forgotten passage. All you need to do to bag this for free is head on over to GOG and hit that download button.
Nomads of Driftland began life as an add-on to Driftland: The Magic Revival before it was later launched as a free standalone product. It’s pretty different from the base game given that Nomads do not have a ruler nor carry out orders like several of the base game’s factions. It takes a more classic approach, with units directly managed.
