Demos especially are popular on GOG, and at the time of writing there are over 100 demos you can download and try for free.
Unfortunately they’re not the AAA bangers you’d expect from somewhere like the Epic Games Store they’re worth a look if you’re fond of indie games.

The game follows a vampiric robot barrelling through the layers of hell, blowing up demons and using their blood to replenish its health, you’ll also fight angels and ancient Gods, and it’s a bloody good time.
If that sounds too chaotic for your taste though Spiritfarer might be more your speed, as it’s a cosy, emotional title about ferrying spirits to the afterlife.
It's delightful and more than worth your time and attention, so be sure to give it a go through the demo.
There are plenty more titles to check out on GOG right now, so be sure to take a look at any that catch your eye, one might be your new favourite.
