Zelda remake quietly teased for Nintendo Switch 2

Zelda remake quietly teased for Nintendo Switch 2

Twilight Princess remake when?

Another Legend Of Zelda game could be on the way, and so soon after Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom too!

As one of Nintendo’s biggest series, it’s only natural that the company would have some sort of Zelda game in mind for release on the Nintendo Switch 2, though rumours suggest it might not be a brand-new title, rather a remake of one instead.

Zelda: Echoes Of Wisdom borrows the art style from the Zelda: Link’s Awakening remake, as you can see below.

This is great news if it’s true, as fans have been dying for a remake or remaster of Zelda: Wind Waker and Zelda: Twilight Princess for years now.

According to leaker Midori in a since-deleted post on X, Nintendo currently has a project under the codename of Edward which is believed to be a game in development for the Nintendo Switch 2.

Why the post was deleted is unknown, but if it’s true, fans will be quick to assume it’s related to a new Zelda game as the games often use similar codenames like King or Richard.

Now if it is a remake, since it’s unlikely we’ll get a brand-new Zelda adventure so soon after Echoes Of Wisdom, there are a few things this could be.

It could be the return of Wind Waker and Twilight Princess as fans have dreamed, but it could also be proper remake of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time, or perhaps even a remake of Zelda: The Minish Cap due to the Nintendo Switch’s portability.

Honestly it could be anything. It could even be a collection of Zelda games bundled together similar to Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

Either way, it’s sounding more and more like a Zelda title but first, we need to get a good look at the Nintendo Switch 2 as Nintendo is yet to unveil its mysterious new console amidst all the leaks.
