Being able to play one of the most highly rated titles of all time is rare. Very rare. Yet, Nintendo Switch users can do just that.

Metacritic, having amassed many reviews from both critics and gamers, positions The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time right at the top of the games pile.

Fans of the franchise, such as myself, are glad to see it holding the attention of so many players to this day.
What makes it being number one all the sweeter, is the fact that you can play for free.

The argument that this isn’t technically free could be made here, of course, for you have to purchase the NSO expansion to access it.
However, that still works out cheaper than purchasing most single games outright.
While you debate semantics, we’ll be too busy enjoying the nostalgia rush that replaying Ocarina of Time gives us.

Taking into account how many Nintendo gamers adore the original title, it’s not hard to understand why it’s such a polarising topic.
Moreover, with stunning fan-made remakes already in existence, we have a means of experiencing the game with updated visuals if we so wish.
No matter your feelings, we can all agree that Ocarina of Time is an exceptional experience – Metacritic has reaffirmed that.
Furthermore, when we get the urge to explore its dated but charming aesthetic, we can do so for free.
