You can get your hands on a Nintendo Switch 2 right now if you fancy, but you’ll have to pay a scalper the average worker’s yearly salary if you’re really that desperate.
Thank you in advance to Wccftech's Francesco De Meo for the original source!
As first reported by a user on the r/NintendoSwitch2 subreddit, someone has managed to get ahold of a real, genuine Nintendo Switch 2 - and they're selling it for the low, low price of $40,000.

Yup, you read that right; 40 whole stacks, just to get your hands on a real Nintendo Switch 2 that probably doesn't even have an operating system installed.
Over on the r/GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit, folks chimed in with their appropriately tongue-in-cheek reaction to the news.
“For 2 months of internet clout? How stupid humanity has become” commented user Talenja.
“Cool. So assuming the system software is even functional, what are you playing on it? Switch 1 games?” replied user AbsurdThings.

So, first things first: do not buy this.
Even if you did manage to track down the seller and you’re willing to shell out all that cash, the product you’d get in return would essentially just be a fancy paperweight.
That’s because the Nintendo Switch 2 the scalper is selling is likely just supposed to be used for manufacturers that want to sell third-party accessories for the console, and need to get their hands on the Nintendo Switch 2’s physical specifications so they can design appropriately-sized accessories for it.
Ignoring the fact that there are no Nintendo Switch 2 games out there that it could actually run, the fact that it probably doesn’t have an OS installed means that you couldn’t even use it to play OG Nintendo Switch games either.

But if you’re really desperate to just hold one for some reason, then go ahead. I’m not your mum, feel free to launch 40 thousand down the toilet if you really want to.
